Report of multiple workers rescued from a sewer during heavy rain and flash flooding conditions in a confined space TRT rescue. Rental heavy equipment was on scene.

There was a radar-indicated tornado-warned storm in the area with Downers Grove in the Tornado Warning polygon activated at 12:12 PM (until 12:45 PM).

There is a construction site near Washington Street and Curtiss Street in Downers Grove that involves the major Civic Center Project development. A new six-story, 213,000-square-foot residential and multi-use building is under construction to replace the old village hall near this emergency rescue scene.
