1:XX AM (MON DEC 29 2025) ...  Palatine firefighters and paramedics worked at the scene of a house fire in the block of 300 North Plum Grove Rd Palatine. This was possibly a basement fire in a single-family home. A witness that lives in the neighborhood reported that at 2:00 AM Monday, December 29, 2025, ten emergency vehicles were parked in front of a house on the east side of Plum Grove Road in Palatine. There were at least three fire trucks, one ambulance and six squad cars on the scene. Police and firefighters stayed until 3:20 AM. Firefighters reported there was smoke in the basement and that the fire was extinguished. All occupants were evacuated from the house. There were no known injuries.
