HOUSE FIRE ON LAKE SHORE DRIVE NEAR WEST TOWER DRIVE IN TOWER LAKES
6:59 AM ... Wauconda Fire District firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of a house fire in the block of 200 West Lake Shore Drive Tower Lakes. Report of a house fire. BC34 on arrival reports heavy smoke from the C-Side. Crews fighting an interior fire with all occupants evacuated. MABAS Division 4 Box Alarm on Box #34-D2 activated by 7:11 a.m. MABAS Box alarm struck out by 7:27 AM. No cause announced on fire radio, but a thunderstorm cell was over the Wauconda, Tower Lakes area from about 6:05 AM to 6:35 AM. The thunderstorm cell was about the size of Round Lake Beach and Wauconda and Lake Zurich from north to south; and Mundelein and Wauconda from west to east. Other storm cells were in the area of the Village of Barrington and Cuba Township. The storm cell over over Tower Lakes was part of a large area of storms moving southwest to northeast in northern Illinois.
