7:35 AM (THU SEP 25 2025) ... Arlington Heights firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of a gas leak in the area of 25 East Algonquin Road Arlington Heights. Report of gas leak after a gas main was hit during construction at the Arbor House Apartments development at the southeast corner of Arlington Heights Road and Algonquin Road. E3 on arrival reports a multi-story residential building under construction with construction crews evacuating.

Algonquin Rd shut down in both directions. Also some lanes shut down on Arlington Heights Road.

Some businesses occupying nearby building are being evacuated.

NICOR shut down gas valve by about 8:17 AM.
