FATAL MOTORCYCLE CRASH NORTHBOUND ROUTE 53 BETWEEN PALATINE RD AND RAND RD ARLINGTON HEIGHTS

1:26 AM … Palatine firefighters and paramedics worked at the scene of a motorcycle crash with a j-wall in the northbound lanes of Route 53 between Palatine Road and Rand Road where road construction is ongoing.. The motorcyclist was ejected into the southbound lanes, and the motorcycle was down in the northbound lanes. Illinois State Police were investigating the crash past 5 AM Monday morning, July 21, 2025.

Northbound lanes and southbound lanes of Route 53 between Palatine Road and Rand Road were closed overnight and were still closed after 5 AM for the extended crash investigation.
