SCHOOL BUS CRASH WITH JEEP CHEROKEE WITH INJURIES AT I-290 EAST AND IL-390 ITASCA

11:27 PM (MON JAN 6 2025) ... Elk Grove Village and Itasca firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of a crash with injuries at I-290 and IL-390 Elk Grove Village and Itasca. Report of a school bus and other vehicles involved on southbound Route 53 at Devon Avenue. Additional vehicles possibly passersby that stopped to help.

Also dispatched as I-290 EAST 4.6 MM. Crash was located on ramp from I-290 EAST to IL-390 EAST, Hamilton Lakes Drive, Park Boulevard, IL-390 WEST.

Crash involved a school bus used by Mount Prospect Park District and a Jeep Cherokee. Initially reported as multiple injuries involving 51 students and seven adult administrators. One adult park district employee transported to Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village with "minor injuries".
