ROAD CLOSURE FOR TRUCK DIESEL FUEL LEAK ON TOUHY AVE BETWEEN WOLF RD AND MT PROSPECT RD DES PLAINES

3:21 PM ... Des Plaines firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of a fuel or chemical spill at Mount Prospect Rd and Touhy Ave Des Plaines. Report that a truck's diesel tank had a hole in the tank, and all the fuel leaked onto the roadway. Incident is located on Touhy Avenue just west of Wolf Road.

Firefighters were initially planning to foam, but now are focused on keeping the product out of the sewers. Chicago Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago also assigned.

The incident was actually located on Touhy Avenue just west of Mount Prospect Road. It was initially reported just west of Wolf Road. The location is near Higgins Creek. There was a fuel leak from a semi-trailer truck saddle tank.
