HOUSE FIRE ON TWISTED OAK NEAR CARRY LN BUFFALO GROVE

2:52 PM ... Buffalo Grove firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of a house fire in the block of 800 Twisted Oak Ln Buffalo Grove. Report of a house fire from a resident at the home.

Police first on scene report quite a bit of smoke coming from the roof. Firefighters initially staged because of a person with a known threat history possibly in the house. Police immediately located and secured the person about a block away from the house, and firefighters moved up to fight the fire by 2:59 PM.

BC4 on arrival reported smoke showing from a vent on the roof, and then reported smoke showing from the front door of the one-story home.

Incident upgraded to a Code 4 "Working Fire" by about 3:01 PM.

Water on the fire by 3:07 PM, and a broken water main reported at 3:08 PM.

BGFD investigator communicating with State Fire Marshal on this incident. Extra crews returning by about 3:40 PM. All companies picking up up gear to leave by 3:56 PM.
