FEDEX DRIVER REFUSES HELP AFTER JUMPING IN A POND TO SAVE A MAN'S DOG NEAR ARLINGTON HEIGHTS RD AND UNIVERSITY DR ARLINGTON HEIGHTS

10:48 AM ... Arlington Heights firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of a EMS Call/cold exposure at Arlington Heights Rd and University Dr Arlington Heights. Report that a FedEx driver jumped in a pond to rescue a dog that was in the pond (Mill Creek Park pond?). One or more Good Samaritans and/or the man that was with the dog were helping cover him due to cold exposure. No water rescue necessary, but paramedics were called seeking that the man be assessed and possibly treated by paramedics. The FedEx driver refused help and left the scene. When firefighters and paramedics arrived there was nobody in the area. E4 and A4 crews searched the area and found nothing, and returned to the fire station.
