4:55 PM ... Crystal Lake Fire Department firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of a fall victim/collapsed stairs in the block of 1500 Trailwood Drive Crystal Lake. Report that stairs into the basement broke and that a male, age 38 and a 3 year-old child fell into the basement. The 3 year-old was rescued before firefighters arrived, or did not fall into the basement.

Second ambulance requested at 4:58 PM.

Firefighters rescuing an adult male with an attic ladder and a backboard from the basement of a 2-story single-family home. Extrication about 15-20 minutes. BC3 reports male adult extricated by 5:21 PM.
