4:19 PM ... Newport Township Fire Protection District firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of a crash with injuries at Route 173 and Route 41 Wadsworth. Report of a crash in the intersection with a vehicle smoking and at least one person possibly trapped.

Report of a crash with large volume of gasoline on the street. An unoccupied pickup truck in the intersection is leaking fuel. Command requesting a crew to expedite to foam down the street.

Second ambulance requested at 4:30 PM -- -- Pleasant Prairie assigned.

Extrication complete at 4:37 PM with possibly three patients.

Third ambulance requested by 4:39 PM -- Gurnee assigned.

Some patients transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center.

LCSO alert for a serious crash at Route 41 and Route 173 with road closure for the next few hours at 4:47 PM.
