2:36 PM ... Northbrook firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of a crash with injuries on the left shoulder on the southbound Tri-State Tollway at Mile Marker 50. Report of two people unresponsive -- an adult and a child involved in the crash involving a truck and a van with one vehicle split in half. Northbrook police reporting a third ambulance will be needed. CPR administered on at least one patient. Deerfield ambulance assigned as third ambulance. Firefighters and paramedics confirm three total patients. One patient triage Code Red; working extrication at 2:56 PM. Northbrook A12 transporting to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center instead of Lutheran General in Park Ridge. Three total transports. One patient Code Red. One child in cardiac arrest with Return of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC). One patient Code Yellow.

Crash also reported on Waze. All southbound lanes shut down on the Tri-State Tollway. Traffic backed up past Dundee Road to about Sanders Road at 3:05 PM.
