MALE AND FEMALE ADULT SHOT ON MONROE STREET NEAR PULASKI ROAD CHICAGO

9:50 PM (MON AUG 22 2022) ... Chicago firefighters and paramedics worked at the scene of a shooting in the block of 4000 West Monroe Street Chicago. Report of a female adult and a male adult shot while standing outdoors by an occupant in a black sedan in a neighborhood of 2-flat residential buildings and retail stores.

A female, age 40, with a gunshot wound to the left torso was transported to Stroger Hospital, listed in Critical Condition.

A male, age 48, with a gunshot wound to the left arm was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, listed in Good Condition.

A third possible victim was in a vehicle that left the scene. No confirmation whether the third victim was actually shot.

CPD Area Four Detectives investigating. Initially no suspect(s) in custody.
