FEMALE ADULT, MALE ADULT SHOT ON SOUTH CARPENTER STREET NEAR 87TH STREET CHICAGO

10:09 PM (MON AUG 22 2022) ... Chicago firefighters and paramedics worked at the scene of a shooting in the block of 8700 South Carpenter Street Chicago. Report of an adult female and an adult male standing on a sidewalk in a neighborhood of single-family homes with retail stores on 87th Street who were shot by offenders who exited a silver SUV that had been driven around the block several times.

A female, age 47, with a gunshot wound to the leg was transported to Level 1 Trauma Center University of Chicago, listed in Good Condition.

A male, age 40, with a gunshot wound to the back and right buttock was transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Christ Medical Center, listed in Good Condition.

CPD Area Two Detectives investigating. Initially no suspect(s) in custody.
