HYBRID VEHICLE FIRE AT NORTHWEST HIGHWAY AND CUBA RD BARRINGTON

8:53 PM (SAT OCT 26 2024) ... Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of a vehicle fire at Northwest Highway and Cuba Rd Lake Barrington. Report of a car fire that a passerby attempted to extinguish with a fire extinguisher. Initially nobody reported trapped. Passerby was advised against using the fire extinguisher on the fire.

E38 on arrival reports a single vehicle fully-involved with fire. BC38 at about 8:58 PM requests E39 to also respond to the scene.

The vehicle that is on fire is reported to be a hybrid vehicle.

Traffic delays appear to be on Northwest Highway in both directions closer to Northwest Highway and Pepper Road.
