CAPSIZED BOAT WITH MULTIPLE PEOPLE IN THE WATER LAKE MICHIGAN NEAR DEMPSTER STREET EVANSTON

5:15 PM ... Evanston firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of a capsized boat with multiple people in the water at the Lake Michigan shoreline and Dempster Street Evanston. Northwestern University public safety may have already secured the people safely to shore.

Ambulances re-directed to the Church Street Boat Ramp, which is about 1800 feet north of Dempster Street along the shoreline.

Evanston Fire Department rescued 4 victims from capsized boats.

Northwestern also rescued multiple victims.
