1:12 PM ... Chicago firefighters and paramedics working at the scene of an elevator rescue/blind shaft elevator response at 175 East Delaware Place Chicago. E98 arrives about 1:12 PM at the entrance on Chestnut Street. BC1 reports at about 1:17 PM that three people have been stuck in an elevator for over an hour. The elevator car is stuck at about the 38th floor in a blind shaft that runs from the 6th floor to the 44th floor. The 175 East Delaware address designates the condo portion of the 100-story building. The John Hancock Center was officially renamed 875 North Michigan Avenue in 2018.
